英语除夕日记
Dear Diary,
Today is the Spring Festival Eve, also known as Chinese New Year's Eve. It's a very special day for us Chinese people. The whole family gathered together to celebrate this joyous occasion.
In the morning, I helped my mom to clean the house. We swept the floor, cleaned the windows, and even decorated the door with red couplets and paper cuttings. The atmosphere was so festive and warm.
After lunch, we prepared the New Year's Eve dinner. My dad cooked delicious dishes like dumplings, fish, and spring rolls. We also had some traditional foods like rice cake and eight-treasure pudding. The table was filled with a variety of delicious food, and the whole family enjoyed the feast together.
In the evening, we lit firecrackers and set off fireworks. The sky was filled with colorful sparkles, and the sound of fireworks echoed in the distance. It was so beautiful and magical.
We also watched the Spring Festival Gala on TV. The show featured various performances, including singing, dancing, and comedy. The whole family laughed and cheered along with the performers.
As the night went on, we exchanged red envelopes with each other. It's a tradition for +++++s to give red envelopes filled with money to children. We felt so grateful and happy for the blessings from our family.
On this special day, I realized how lucky I am to have such a loving and caring family. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year!
