A Day of Delightful Lanterns - My Yuanxiao Diary

Today was an extraordinary day, as it marked the celebration of Yuanxiao Festival, also known as the Lantern Festival. The streets were aglow with colorful lanterns, casting a warm and festive atmosphere. I had the opportunity to join in the festivities and create some unforgettable memories.
In the morning, I woke up early to help my family prepare for the day. We made mooncakes, the traditional delicacy of the festival, and spent hours filling the pastries with sweet red bean paste. The kitchen was filled with laughter and the sweet scent of mooncakes baking in the oven.
After lunch, we ventured out to the nearest park, which was adorned with a myriad of lanterns shaped like animals, flowers, and even ancient Chinese characters. The kids were in awe, running from one lantern to another, trying to guess what each one represented.
