Today is the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday. 🎉 We had a wonderful time celebrating with my family. We made zongzi, a sticky rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaves, and enjoyed the delicious food. We also watched a dragon boat race in the park. It was an exciting and memorable day! 😄
In the morning, my mother showed me how to make zongzi. First, we prepared the rice and fill it with red bean paste. Then, we wrapped it with bamboo leaves and tied it tightly. Finally, we cooked it in a big pot. The zongzi were delicious and I was so proud of myself for helping. 🍲
In the afternoon, we went to the park to watch the dragon boat race. The teams were so energetic and competitive. The dragon boats were colorful and they moved swiftly on the river. The audience cheered loudly for their favorite teams. It was an amazing experience! 🏄♂️
The Dragon Boat Festival is not only a time for enjoying delicious food and watching exciting events, but also a time to remember the heroic spirit of Qu Yuan, a great poet in ancient China. I feel so grateful to have this wonderful tradition and to celebrate it with my family. 🎊
