My English Diary on Qingming Festival - April 4th
Today is Qingming Festival, also known as Tomb-Sweeping Day. 🎉 It's a traditional Chinese holiday where we honor our ancestors by visiting their graves and paying our respects. I woke up early, and my family and I went to the cemetery. The air was filled with the scent of incense and the sound of people talking. We cleaned the tombstones, placed fresh flowers, and offered food and drinks. It was a meaningful day, and I feel grateful for the heritage we have. 🙏 After that, we enjoyed a picnic in the park. The weather was perfect, and we had a great time together. 🌳🍃
I also took the opportunity to teach my foreign friends about this important festival. They were fascinated by the customs and traditions. I shared stories of my ancestors and how we celebrate this day. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family and culture. 🏮
In the evening, we returned home and prepared a special dinner. The table was filled with delicious dishes, and we shared stories and laughter. Qingming Festival is not just a day to remember the past, but also a time to appreciate the present and look forward to the future. 🌈
It's moments like these that make me proud to be Chinese. I hope to continue this tradition and pass it on to future generations. 🌟
